Jamunaposi is a small pre-occupied village in Keonjhar dist. The village is actively surrounded with local community and dense forests. Total 334 family lives in the village and all are daily laborers. The life style of the people is very simple. Jamunaposi village has a youth club. It was formed by PECUC in 15th June 2012. There was no community hall or any other space was youth can do some recreational activities therfore they united and establish the club. Through socialization they address many issues of their village. After the day of establishment the club scuttle’s successfully. But after some days due to inner conflict the club faced some many problems. CRPC member of PECUC and some boys of the village came forward and joined hands together to run the club again. Last year in the month of January with the positive contribution of the boys the club was reformed and till now it functioning successfully .The total member of the club is 10 (boy- 6 , girls -4) between the age group of 18 to 25. Last year in Independence Day all the members arranged different cultural programme for the children of the area. They also arrange some competition for the children. Prof. Dhiren Mohanty and Supahi murmu from Radio was the main guest of that evening. Both the guest delivered speech and distributed certificates to the winners. The group has been oriented on different environmental issues and each member has taken pledge to protect their surroundings in his/her own community. The group member also came forward to solve the problems related to women violence, child labor etc. They together organized Swachha Bharat campaign and clean the whole village street, pond and school and installed dustbin at school ground. They frequently arrange different competition and encouraged boys and girls to participate in it. While Observing the World Water Day they arranged a meeting and made people understand about waste water management for kitchen garden promotion by demonstrating. The member of the club joined hands and gave the best output to the village people. It does not mean that they did not face challenges during their works. There were a lot of obstacles. The protection element was indeed challenging. But dedication, hard work and unity in vision & thought created history at Jamunaposi.
