Inclusive Development... Persons With Disability ..........

Inclusion of people with disabilities into everyday activities involves practices and policies designed to identify and remove barriers such as physical ,communication and attitudinal that hamper individuals’ ability to have full participation in society. Disability-inclusive development policy and practice is constantly changing and evolving. It requires us to be constantly reflecting, learning and improving our practice. In particular looking to the deeper questions: of the relationships and representation of people with disabilities within our work; Disability inclusion involves input from people with disabilities, generally through disability-focused and independent living organizations, in program or structural design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.

Action for Ability Development and Inclusion (AADI) is the initiative of PECUC to address the issues in the process of Empowerment of PWDs..The mission that visualizes a world in which people with disability are an integral part of society, participating in the community and living life to the fullest, with equitable access to opportunities and services. AADI focuses to facilitate enabling environments in the best interest of the PwDs thus ensuring equitable, accessible, quality assured services using a life span approach in an inclusive manner. AADI will work towards being collaborative, participative, strategic, transparent, equitable, non-discriminative, accessible, and accountable in all that it does. AADI will follow the norms of safety and quality assured services in our work.

The main purpose of ADDI are people with disabilities to reduce social exclusion and to achieve integration of the disabled into society.PECUC provide Life skill skills for children and youth with special needs are very important and valuable for them to get in education. This skills education program is a part of life skill. With this provision is expected they will be able to live independently by not / less dependent on others. This skill training focuses on the various skills to produce a product in the form of real objects that are beneficial to life. By learning the various skills expected, children with special needs can gain a perceptual experience, appreciative experience, and creative experience.

In the endeavour of skill development training 370 persons with disability person have completed their training. It includes various activities namely Motivational Sessions, Exposure Visits, Guest Lectures, Parents Workshops and jod training and placement . Upto end of 2019 total 89 are self employed in 41 are wage employment. we are in a process provide counselling, linkage and convergence for placement and self employment.

A Therapeutic & Rehabilitative Services for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities centre are function as “ADDI Therapy centre” came in to existence as a part of institutionalisation of these children for their betterment. Mostly CP & MR children are included in the centre. Promotion of mental development process of the students through innovative and attractive games, apply of flash cards, interesting stories, music and songs were continued in the centre on regular basis.
