Integrating Program for eradicating child labour

Project Objective: Integrating all children into education system and complete elimination

of identified child labour

Operational area :- 27 Villages of Keonjhar district and 24 Villages of Mayurbhanj district in

Odisha

Broad Activities :-

• Village level Awareness campaigns.
• Camp for Children rescued from labour, drop outs, long absentee, slow learner,never  enrolled in School  and motivate them for education
• Counselling and motivation of parents, Children, Teachers
• Education Support Centres-  Motivationcentre cum Child Rights resource centresto be established in  the project villages
• Teaching learning materials support to the Sradha Bhavans
• Training to PRI functionaries, SMC members, Parent teacher association, Mother teacher association
• Information, Education & Communication Materials relating to the themes of child labour eradication, education
• Strengthening Child rights clubs/Children’s associations through conducting weekly meetings
• Training to child club members
• Annual event for Children 
• Need based skill training to adolescent groups in Keonjhar
• workshop at District and State level
• Regular monthly meetings of Child Protection Committees
• Training to CPC members
• Strengthening of Mothers /Women associations by organizing monthly meetings
• Training to women's groups on gender and children's issues
• Support to Mothers/Women group members  to enhance their income.
• Village level campaign to end violence against women through village level  awareness walk, wall writing, meetings and IEC campaign on women’s right
• meeting with PRIs, local authority to give priority to the poorestfamilies and families of  childlabour/rescued child labourers on poverty alleviationprograms
• Linkage of target families with Govt. schemes and programs i.e.Antodaya,Annapurna, Old age pension, NREGS etc
• Agriculture training to farmers
• Strengthening eco savers youth network through conducting monthly meetings
• Training youth network members  on environment and ecology
