Project Period: 2009 - 2012

Main objective:  Integrated poverty alleviation in 8 tribal dominated villages in Swam Patna Block of Keonjhar District, Orissa.

Activities :

• Land Treatment for better agriculture
• Irrigation for ensuring sustainable Agriculture
• Farmers’ awareness, Sensitization, Training and Exposure visit to develop good practices
• Seed bank and agricultural implements to enhance production
• Green Manuring and Green Leaf Manuring for maintenance of quality productions
• Small Livestock system“ a sustainable approach for secured income”
• Pond Based Pisciculture to fetch additional income from irrigation ponds
• Advocacy and networking with Government to ensure food security
•  Improved MCH (Mother & Child Health) and control over communicable diseases with focus on malaria, diarrhea.
