Children Assembly

Objectives of the Children’s Assembly:

• To create awareness among children about the Child labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Amendment Act.
• To create an opportunity for children to express their views on policy issues.
• To provide children an opportunity to understand characteristics of the Legislative Assembly.
• To build leadership qualities among the children. 
• Around 320 Participants including Children, Adult, CSO representatives, across the State and Government officials, Media Representative and representatives from International NGOs. 
• There were two days activities, the first day was the preparatory workshop and the second day was the Children Assembly. The preparatory workshop for Children assembly with Fifty children from different backgrounds including rescued Child labourers, drop outs, irregular to school, school going across the State participated in the preparatory workshop.
