SURAKSHYA - Empowering adolescents, young women, young people for improving access to Education and Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights

Duration – 2023-2025

Overall goal: Create an enabling environment for the realization of the sexual and reproductive health and rights of young people, women and adolescents.

Project goal: Women, young people and adolescents lead a dignified life with knowledge about their sexual and reproductive health & rights and are making informed decision.

Operational Area: 8 villages of Balianta Block, 4 Villages of Bolgarh Block and 3 slums of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation of , Khordha District

Activities

• Training of adolescent boys and girls on life skills, online safety
• Training on sexual and reproductive health services, HIV/AIDS, Substance abuse.
• Training to adolescents on gender
• Training on Gender to young couples - Understanding of Gender and Development, Understanding the cycle of violence, Healthy Relationship
• Training to young women on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights & HIV/AIDS, Domestic violence
• Training to ECOSAVERS Youth Network Members on group building, protection of ecology, waste management
• ECO Venture camp of  ECOSAVERS youth Network Members on environment & Ecology
• Observation of environment ,child rights ,women related special days
• Stakeholder’s workshop on Child Protection issues i.e. child marriage, child sexual abuse, child labour etc.
• Training to Gaon Kalyan Samiti  members, ASHA, Anganwadi workers & front line health workers on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR)
• Training to teachers on basic counselling skills, SRHR, online safety
• Strengthening Gram Panchayat Child Protection Committee & Slum level Child Protection Committee & training to Gram Panchayat Child Protection Committee (GPCPC)/Child Protection Committee (CPC) leaders
• Awareness generation & IEC materials
• Staff capacity building
